Why use respond.io for Google Calendar
Respond.io is built for mid-market B2C businesses that book appointments, consultations or demos in Google Calendar and follow up with customers in chat. The integration connects one Google Calendar per workspace and is view-only. If each agent needs their own calendar connected, or you want agents to send booking links mid-chat, use Calendly or Cal.com instead.
- Agents know whether a customer confirmed, canceled or declined before they reply
- Meeting history covers 6 months back and 6 months forward from today
- No tab-switching between the inbox and Google Calendar to check who’s booked
- Enterprise-grade reliability with 99.999% uptime, ISO 27001, GDPR compliance and role-based access controls
FAQs about Google Calendar integration
Why aren’t a contact’s Google Calendar meetings showing up?
Meetings are matched by email address, so the contact’s email in respond.io must exactly match the attendee email in Google Calendar. Only meetings on calendars the connected account can see will appear.
Can agents create or edit meetings from respond.io?
No. The integration is view-only. Clicking Manage Google Calendar in the sidebar opens Google Calendar, where you create, edit or cancel meetings.
Can each agent connect their own Google Calendar?
No. You can connect one Google Calendar per workspace. Connect an account that can see every calendar your team needs, and all agents get the same meeting view.
Which plans include the Google Calendar integration?
Growth, Advanced and Enterprise plans, plus all legacy plans. You’ll need an Owner or Manager role in respond.io to connect it.
