Why use respond.io for HubSpot
Respond.io is built for mid-market B2C businesses that keep customer records in HubSpot and handle customer conversations on WhatsApp and other messaging channels. Contact sync runs one way, from HubSpot to respond.io, so teams that need respond.io changes written back to HubSpot can use Workflows or automation tools like Zapier or Make.
- HubSpot data becomes usable in Inbox filters, Broadcast segments, Workflows and AI Agents, not just visible in a sidebar
- Only mapped fields that change are updated, so contact sync never overwrites the rest of a respond.io contact
- Agents see CRM context during every conversation without switching to HubSpot
- Enterprise-grade reliability with 99.999% uptime, ISO 27001, GDPR compliance and role-based access controls
FAQs about HubSpot integration
Which respond.io plan includes the HubSpot integration?
HubSpot is available on the Growth plan and above. Each respond.io workspace can connect to one HubSpot account.
Can I see HubSpot deals in respond.io?
No, the integration shows HubSpot contact properties only. Deal and pipeline properties don't appear in respond.io.
Will my existing HubSpot contacts be created in respond.io?
No, contact sync doesn't import historical HubSpot data. With the default "Create and update" option, an existing HubSpot contact is created in respond.io the next time it's updated in HubSpot. To bring in all existing contacts at once, import them into respond.io manually.
Does HubSpot contact sync overwrite my respond.io contacts?
No, only mapped fields that change in HubSpot are updated in respond.io. The rest of the contact record stays as it is.
Does respond.io sync contacts both ways with HubSpot?
No, native contact sync runs one way, from HubSpot to respond.io. Changes to respond.io contact fields, including those made by AI Agents or Workflows, aren't written back to HubSpot automatically. This is separate from editing selected HubSpot contact properties in the respond.io sidebar, which an admin can turn on. To send other details to HubSpot, such as lifecycle stages or qualification answers, you can use Workflows or automation tools like Zapier or Make.
Why can't I see a contact's HubSpot properties in respond.io?
The contact's email or phone number in respond.io must exactly match the one in HubSpot. Even small differences, like spaces or special characters, stop the properties from showing.
